This policy explains what data Chord Transposer collects, why we collect it, and how we use it.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data from Google sign-in (such as email and Google account identifier).
- Uploaded files you submit for transposition.
- Transposition results and job metadata (filename, semitone shift, status, timestamps).
- Credit and billing records (including Stripe checkout references; we do not store full card details).
- Support/feedback/refund submissions and optional attachments.
- Basic technical logs for security, reliability, and fraud prevention.
2. How We Use Data
- Provide the transposition service and downloads.
- Authenticate users and manage sessions.
- Process credit purchases and refunds.
- Investigate bugs, abuse, and support issues.
- Improve quality and reliability of output.
3. Billing and Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored directly by Chord Transposer.
4. Data Sharing
- Google: for authentication only.
- Stripe: for payment and billing events.
- Hosting/infrastructure vendors: to run the service.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Retention
We retain data for operational, support, and compliance reasons. We may delete or anonymize data that is no longer needed.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
- You can stop using the service at any time.
- You can contact us to request deletion or export of account-related data where applicable.
